Home Finding 

Moving into the ideal home in a great area is a huge step towards a successful corporate relocation. But as you'll know from your own house moves, finding that perfect place isn't always straightforward. It can carry a lot of stress and be very time consuming, particularly at a distance. Home Finding (also referred to as Home Search) removes these typical strains on time and patience and turns the home finding experience into something really exciting for an employee and their family. 
 
We recommend to start the Home Finding process with an Area Orientation, to ensure that your employee only spends their valuable time looking for properties in areas which are going to suit their requirements.

Understanding their vision 

Your employees' choice of home is something very personal, steered by a thousand personal preferences and values. In order for us to assist effectively with their home search, we need to invest time during our briefing call to understand what they are picturing, from a spacious kitchen for the keen cook to underfloor heating like they're used to at home. 
 
Where possible, we will arrange for the same Area Specialist who supported your employee during their Area Orientation to also support your employee with their Home Finding as they will already have developed a good understanding of your employee's personality and preferences.

Delivering on the dream 

Our Area Specialist will set up viewings for the employees, and prepare an itinerary of between eight and ten suitable properties to visit during the Home Finding day. On the day of the Home Finding, our Area Specialist will collect your employee and attend the property viewings with them, helping them to understand how each fits their brief. Our Specialists will share their extensive local knowledge and experience, providing advice and guidance to your employee, ensuring that the best possible offer is put forward. 
 
After placing the offer, we will continue to support your employee by overseeing the negotiations and preparation of the paperwork and tenancy agreement. We are able to support your employee with any questions throughout the rental process, including arranging the check in and handover of the keys.

How it works, at a glance… 

We conduct a research and briefing call with the employee (and HR as required) to make sure we understand what they are looking for in as much detail as possible. 
We will provide them with our ‘Introduction to the UK’ Guide and introduce the employee to our Area Specialist who'll research the current lettings market and arrange a full day's itinerary of viewings at properties matching what your employee and their family are looking for.  
Then, on the day we'll collect the employee (and family, if they are joining) from their hotel or office and escort them on their day of viewings, dropping them back to their choice of hotel or office at the end of the day.  
Once we've found the right property for your employee, we support them in placing offer to letting agents, including negotiation of the rental amount and the term of the tenancy. 
We lend full support to progressing the offer, completing all the paperwork and checking, explaining and where necessary negotiationg changes in the tenancy agreement. 
We'll also lend a helping hand and guidance throughout the referencing process  
Finally, we'll arrange the check in and key handover, so your employee receives a comprehensive end to end support service.
